Pictures of Megaman X Figures

Atention Megaman X Fans!!!

Calling all Megaman X toy collectors!

At Kirin Hobby (http://www.kirinhobby.com/shop/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=mega+man) you used to be able (they are currently back ordering) to get; X, X Max Armor, and shiny (metallic [special edition]) X from the really cool D-arts Megaman X series.  Fortunately you can still get good ol' Zero Armor 1/type 1/what ever you want to call it.  One of the coolest things you can do is combine the different parts of the different figures.

That's not all though!  You can now buy Zero Armor 2/type 2/what ever you want to call it and Vile.  Zero comes with swords this time and vile has two shoulder mounted guns!

Pictures of all these figures will be in my next post.

NYLT/Impeesa Training

This summer I went to Impeesa/NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training).  For those who don't know what that is, it is a high end scout leadership training for boys. Just as a heads up you only get two shirts to wear for the whole six day course (it stinks I know [no pun intended]), and you will need your mess kits (believe it or not when I went there someone actually thought they would provide plates and silverware, which they don't).

A good analogy for Impeesa is a summer camp where you learn to work as a team and become better leaders.  Some of the things I did was watch a movie (boring, right? just kidding), build a catapult, and build a chariot.  I will admit there was a fair amount of class room time, but there were also lots of activities.  All in all I had a blast and I would highly suggest going if you are interested in leaning about leadership and team building.

Did I mention that venture crews can now go as well (at least where I live you guys can)?

Cool Toys

Hi everyone here are some descriptions and links to cool toys:
1.   If you’re a Mega Man X fan you might know about the D-arts line of toys.  It has  X, Zero Mark 1, X First Armor Version, and X Metallic Version.  Also, to be released some time in June, are Vile and Zero Mark 2. Here is a link to a sight that sells these toys less expensively than Ebay: http://www.kirinhobby.com/shop/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=mega+man&KHsid=65b83fee1c13cdde05389fa9d27459d4. Here is a link to a video of Megaman X the video game. This video includes everything you can get in the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbsYFJj8Ehw. There should be links to the other parts and Megaman X 2 and X 3.  This guy doesn’t have any of the rest up except for X 4 part 1.
2.   If you’re a transformers fan or a Lego fan (but not a super hardcore one) than you might like Hasbro’s Kre-O Transformers. Kre-O is a new line from Hasbro that is like Lego and MEGA Bloks.  There are quite a few of them ranging from $8-$60.  Here is the link: http://www.hasbro.com/kre-o/en_US/shop/browse.cfm. Let me know which one is your favorite.
3.   Please send me links for toys that you think are cool.
And thus I leave you with this line from a movie; “For Narnia!!!”

The Adventures of Blue Bird and Bird Boy

Here is my story.  I hope you guys like it!

A Bad Bunch of Birds

Suddenly the Bird Computer went off and two figures rushed to it.
“Holy bird’s nests, Blue Bird!” exclaimed Bird Boy. “Five banks being robbed at once! How are we going to get to them all?”
“One at a time,” responded Blue Bird as they hopped into the Birdmobile and raced to First Bank.  Once they got there the police were there, but no villain.  Blue Bird noticed and picked up a sleek, synthetic feather.
Bird Boy saw him and asked, “What is it?”
“I don’t know,” responded Blue Bird.  When they went to the other banks to check the crime scenes and found similar feathers.  After they visited the fifth bank Blue Bird said, “Let’s go back to the Nest and see what these feathers are made of.”
A few minutes later the duo arrived at the Nest.  Blue Bird and Bird Boy start to run tests on the feather.
“This feather came from an enhancement suit that makes one stronger, faster, and more agile; very similar to our own,” noted Blue Bird.  “Multiple suits were made each with a specific power, but I can’t figure out what the powers for these feathers are.”
“That’s a problem,” said Bird Boy.
“Yes,” agreed Blue Bird, “As soon as a feather comes off a suit, it loses its special ability.”
“Bummer,” replied Bird Boy, “So… what are we going to do now?”
Blue Bird replied, “The only thing we can do.”
“And that is…” Bird Boy questioned.
“Wait until they strike again,” Blue Bird answered.
A few days later while on patrol they heard an alarm go off and raced towards it. They saw a jewelry store and Quick Quail standing right in front of it.
“Halt villain!!” yelled Blue Bird.
Quick Quail turned around and yelled back, “Never!” He was just about to turn and run when he was knocked over by a birdarang. Bird boy tackled him just as he was standing up. Quick Quail ran around and around with Bird Boy on his back, but couldn’t shake him. Since that wasn’t working he slammed Bird Boy into the wall.
“Bird Boy!” cried Blue Bird, but Bird Boy was out cold, and while Blue Bird rushed to him, Quick Quail got away. Blue Bird then took Bird Boy back to the Nest.
When Bird Boy awoke, Blue Bird asked him, “Are you OK?”
“Yeah, or at least I think I am,” Bird Boy responded. “What are we going to do know? They’ve stolen from five banks and five jewelry stores.”
“I suspect that they will strike the remaining banks, so we’re going to set a trap and wait for them.”
Two days later a dark figure walked across the street to a bank at midnight. He walked in and threw something that paralyzed the guards. He then continued on to the vault. He quickly hacked it and opened the door
“Looking for me?” asked Bird Boy.
“But how…?!?” he said dumbfounded.
“It was a lucky guess,” Bird Boy replied getting ready to fight.
“Yeah, well you’re going down!” he shouted.
“By the way who are you?” asked Bird Boy.
“I am Evil Eagle and you’re going down!” he repeated. Evil Eagle started attacking Bird Boy with bombs, sharp metal feather projectiles, and karate. Bird Boy countered with birdarangs and karate. At the same time at another bank, two figures - one big, the other short - walked into the bank. The shorter one quickly pulled out an odd looking gun and froze the guards. The big one ripped off the vault door, but standing there, instead of money, was Blue Bird.
“Ahhh, Polar Penguin and Brute Bullfinch, I should have guessed it would be you,” said Blue Bird.
“Where’s da money!” roared Brute Bullfinch.
“Well it’s obviously not here anymore,” responded Polar Penguin.
“But da money iz supposed ta be here,” insisted Brute Bullfinch.
“Will you get it through your thick skull that it isn’t here!” shouted Polar Penguin.
“Well den where izit?” Brute Bullfinch questioned.
“Not here!” Polar Penguin shouted getting angrier.
“Den wadda we do now?” Brute Bullfinch asked.
“We tear him limb from limb!” shouted Polar Penguin.
“Ooohh,” said Brute Bullfinch finally getting it. He then started to attack Blue Bird with Polar Penguin. They attacked him with chunks of vault door and ice attacks. Blue Bird countered with agility and birdarangs and attacked with karate. Then when Evil Eagle, Polar Penguin, and Brute Bullfinch realized they were losing, they threw down smoke grenades and disappeared. Brute Bullfinch didn’t notice that a little tracker was stuck to his back.
Later at the Nest, Bird Boy asked, “What are we going to do now?”
“I put a tracker on Brute Bullfinch, so we’ll know where they are,” said Blue Bird.
“Awesome!” exclaimed Bird Boy. “Now we just need to call in the cavalry, after we find out where they are, of course.”
“Right,” replied Blue Bird.
A few hours later Blue Bird and Bird Boy raced towards a dark castle.
“Did you call Flame Falcon, Swift Swallow, and Red Raven?” asked Blue Bird.
“Yes, they said they’d come right away,”
“Good, we’re going to need all the help we can get,” said Blue Bird.
They walked up to the castle and went inside. Meanwhile the Bad Bird Bunch had realized that a tracker had been put on Brute Bullfinch.
“You fool!” shouted a dark and mysterious figure. “Now they know where we are. We must act quickly if we are to be prepared to fight them.”
“Do you mean us, Black Bird?” asked Blue Bird.
Black Bird scowled and then yelled, “Get them!”
All of the Bad Bird Bunch rushed towards them. Suddenly a fire ball sent them all diving for cover.
“The cavalry has arrived!” exclaimed Flame Falcon. “Are we late?”
“No you’re just in time,” replied Blue Bird.
They prepared to fight the Bad Bird Bunch. Blue Bird took Black Bird, Red Raven took Evil Eagle, Bird Boy took Brute Bullfinch, Flame Falcon took Polar Penguin and Swift Swallow took Quick Quail. The Bad Bird Bunch was quickly defeated and put in jail.

Home Schooling

I am a homeschooler and I like being one. Homeschooling is different for everybody, but for me, it’s not so different from “regular” school. There is a room in my house which has all our school books and a big table in it. I work in there with my 4 sisters. Lately math has been hard, but I finished that chapter and am moving on to the next one (I have done 1 lesson in the new chapter and I believe it will be easier.
Although writing isn’t my favorite subject, I’ve written a couple of stories that I am happy with. I’ve posted my latest story on this blog; check it out and let me know what you think. Constructive criticism is welcome, but please don’t be rude.
If you have any stories that you want to share, please send them to me at ninjasamuraiscout@gmail.com.
